If you are hosting your site with WP Engine (which we highly recommend!), you can delegate access to your account to allow others to access it without having your root credentials. This is not only safer for you (because you can easily remove their access if you want to) but it is more convenient for the person helping you out with your site as they can access multiple accounts through their account without having to log out and log back in to each account.
Instructions on adding a User to WP Engine:
- Log into the User Portal
- Expand Users in the navigation
- Click Account Users​
- On the Invite Users page, fill in the user details, select Full (no billing) (this is what we recommend for our clients) and click on “Invite User”.
